Summer is ending and if you live anywhere like Phoenix, LA or Palm Springs you know your hot days are about to really hit! It’s never too late to make one of these skirts to wear in the fall.
Things You Will Need:
First figure out your waist size, add 2 inches then divide it by 6.28. This will give you the radius for your waist.
Let’s start by cutting the tulle. Take 1.5×1.5 yards of tulle and fold it in half. Next, take a pin and place it at the top middle of the fold. Attached a string that is the same length as your waists radius and use it as a guide to cut a half circle.
Keeping the tulle folded in half, add 20in to the end of the sting and repeat. Unfolded, you should have a circle cutout of tulle with a smaller circle in the middle (your waist size).
For the satin or silk, repeat the same steps as above using 1 square yard of fabric instead. Adjust the length of the skirt by 5 or 10 inches depending on preference.
Sew a basting or straight stitch along the waist to keep tulle from sliding and moving around.
For the waist band use a thick elastic belt and sew the ends together. Pin inside out the inner layer, tulle and elastic belt in the waist. There will be extra room with fabric so even it out around the elastic belt.
Then once ready to sew pull and stretch elastic out with the skirt. this will bunch the tulle at elastic. once you finish the waist turn it inside right and you have a tulle skirt.

It’s summer! Time to hit the beach! I decided I wanted to make some chunky anklets to wear when I go barefoot. These are super easy and fun to create.
YOU WILL NEED:
First, just simply string on the beads with the wire. Add the circle part of the toggle clasp on each end with a crimp bead. String through the ribbon. Slide your foot through and tie a bow in the back! Super cute and easy!
